Clarksville Quality First Opens for Full-Scale Urgent Care Services

Jun 11, 2021 | News

In March, board certified Emergency Physician Dr. Pascal Crosley and his Quality First team brought their signature COVID testing expertise to Clarksville, Maryland, offering walk-up services at the then-new Ten Oaks Road facility.

This week, the Clarksville location transitioned to offering comprehensive urgent care services, just like those offered at Quality First’s flagship clinic in Burtonsville.

Like Burtonsville, the Clarksville clinic is staffed entirely by emergency medical professionals. In addition to providing X-ray services and laboratory testing on-site, the Clarksville urgent care services will include diagnoses and treatment for:

  • Cold and flu symptoms
  • Sprains and strains
  • Minor cuts and injuries
  • Infections
  • Burns
  • Rashes
  • And more!

Quality First Urgent Care will also offer travel medicine consultation; medical marijuana card exams; immigration, DOT, and sports physicals; and routine vaccinations.

Walk-up COVID testing will continue to be offered, with same day results available for those tested before noon.

The Clarksville urgent care opening comes as the country continues to make big strides in its year-plus struggle with the COVID pandemic and widespread vaccinations ease restrictions and open businesses.

Occupying the entire first floor of a three-story office building, the Clarksville Quality First offers ample parking, a spacious waiting room and treatment area, and opportunity for future expansion. The new clinic has been a passion project, of sorts, for Dr. Crosley and his Chief Operating Officer David Gruber, both of whom live less than 10 minutes from the urgent care clinic.

“I’m a Howard County native,” said Dr. Crosley. “I grew up in Columbia. We say Quality First is ‘your trusted neighborhood walk-in clinic,’ and that’s so true. It’s been an honor for me to bring quality medical services to my hometown, and to truly develop relationships with the patients we serve. First in Burtonsville, and now even closer to my own backyard in Clarksville.”

Dr. Crosley opened the Burtonsville Quality First Urgent Care to significant acclaim in December of 2019. Then the pandemic hit, and he and his team had to pivot. Innovation and early action, paired with an ongoing partnership with Quest Diagnostics, led to Quality First Urgent Care being named one of the largest testing sites in the state of Maryland.

The Clarksville transition is just the latest in a number of projects for Dr. Crosley and his team, including occupational health services and the opening of a high complexity laboratory in Burtonsville.
