Illness & Infections
Comprehensive Care for
Colds and Cough
Upper or lower respiratory symptoms can make life miserable in the short term and are particularly concerning in the wake of a pandemic.
Stuffy noses, congestion, coughs, and low fever are all symptoms that can be caused by nasty viruses. Of course, ruling out bacterial infections is also critical.
While there remains no “cure” for the common cold, the staff at Quality First Urgent Care will help you pinpoint a diagnosis and offer a course of treatment that will have you and your children back on your feet in no time.
Fighting the Flu
The flu is a common respiratory illness that tends to pop up in the fall and winter months. Because it is transmitted similarly to COVID-19, and shares overlapping symptoms (which can be mild or severe) testing is the best way to be sure.
Quality First offers comprehensive testing services, as well as influenza vaccinations on site.
Battling Bacterial (and Other) Infections
Most common colds tend to work their way through our systems and improve within a week. Infections, however, can linger for much longer – and are typically accompanied by telltale symptoms, including:
- Fever
- Aches and pains
- Swollen glands
- Sore throat, coughing or sneezing
- Inflammation
- Fatigue
- Nausea
While infections can be caused by viruses and bacteria, other usual suspects include fungi and parasites. Infections can even be transmitted through contaminated food and/or water, as well as insect and animal bites.
Seeing a qualified medical professional is essential to determine the severity of the infection and establish a course of action.
Quality First’s doctors will conduct all necessary lab work and/or X-rays in-house. When called for, antibiotics can be prescribed during your visit and sent directly to your pharmacy of choice.
Convenience and care: it’s what we do.
